Location : Hill site in Huntsbury
As a newly qualified builder my client was keen to build her first own house and showcase her craftmanship.
The brief was to design a three bedroom house with lots of storage by using spaces usually ignored and wasted in standard designs.
The result is a very unique, very open floor plan with two loft bedrooms on the mezzanine level, a study nook underneath the stair case and open plan living, dining and kitchen area covered by a high skillion roof.
The windows opposite of the mezzanine floor are positioned to make the best of the view and to increase the daylight flooding through the house.
Energy efficient features :
- airtight and windtight building systems (ProClima)
- high level of insulation (Knauf Earthwool)
- recessed thermally broken aluminium windows, double-glazed, LowE and Argon- filled
- LED lighting
- Heat Recovery and Ventilation System
